OVER the past month, businesses have been welcoming customers after months of closures and hardship for the local business environment.

The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is celebrating those businesses that make the two counties great. The ‘Shop in the Shires’ campaign will look to give members of the Chamber a platform to showcase their business through the Chamber website and also their bi-monthly publication.

The September/October edition, which will feature a theme of sustainability, will also include the ‘Shop in the Shires’ business directory supplement containing Member submissions, this will then be sent to over 4,000 readers.

This opportunity will give businesses a platform to promote themselves and potentially get new eyes on their business at no cost to Chamber Members, it will also allow local businesses to showcase their talent and increase their brand awareness within Herefordshire and Worcestershire and beyond with the digital copy of the magazine and supplement. Due to popular demand the original deadline has been extended in order to include as many businesses as possible, interested Members can send their entries up until the final deadline of Monday 3 August.

Sharon Smith, CEO of The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, said: “We know that our counties are nothing without the businesses, restaurants, cafés, bars, pubs, theatres, music venues, nightclubs, cinemas, art galleries – and all the other local, independently run establishments where people come together to purchase products and services from each other.

“That’s why we’re launching our Shop In the Shires campaign by producing a printed supplement showcasing our members, their products/services and spreading the word that they are open for business.”

Members are asked to supply the following to be considered for the supplement:

• Name of Business

• Type of Product/Service

• 150-word company profile

• Contact details

• Logo and images

Businesses are encouraged to send submission and associated imagery to: businessdirection@hwchamber.co.uk to be considered before the deadline, which is today (August 3).

The Chamber are calling on their Members to be a part of this great campaign, completely free. Space is limited and demand will be high, so please send your submission in as soon as possible.
