THOUSANDS of cuppas were enjoyed in aid of a good cause across the Vale and Cotswolds on Friday.
Among the Macmillan Coffee Mornings taking place were events at Tomlins funeral directors in Bengeworth and David Baker funeral directors in Bidford, as the businesses raised a combined total of £600.
Organiser Gabby Sanchez said: “To those who donated cakes, entered raffles, consumed some coffee or tea and cake or simply put money in the collection boxes we raise our hats to you.”
Meanwhile, businesses in Broadway also brewed up for the cause. Their efforts raised £2,500 for the charity, with Tesco donating cookies to all the shops in Broadway which they could give to customers in return for donations.
Kim Carter, community champion for Tesco in Evesham, said: “Its’s amazing what we can do when we all work together.”
