Over 2.5 billion children have received vaccinations thanks to the help of Rotary.

Peter Williams, from the Redditch club, said: "This planting wouldn't have been possible without the active co-operation of Redditch Borough Council staff. It just shows the value of co-operation. We have again put in place the signage End Polio Now so look out for the purple crocuses."

He added: "Why purple? That's the colour of the dye painted on the fingernails of those who have been treated.”
