EVESHAM Vale Triathletes teenager Casarena Ferreira finished first woman and youth in the Telford Tinman Super Sprint Triathlon.
She exited the 400-metre swim in second place but overtook in transition and pulled away during the 12-kilometre bike section.
Ferreira, of Childswickham, kept her lead on the 2.5km run and was three minutes ahead of second place.
A last-minute decision to enter Wrekin College Aquathlon in the afternoon saw the Prince Henry’s High School pupil win over the 400m swim and 3km bike race.
Ferreira attended a day’s training at Mallory Park in preparation for the Vitality World Triathlon Aquathlon in Hyde Park.
She was the youngest competitor in London against elite athletes with many representing Great Britain.
The swim was over 500m and Ferreira got out of the lake at the back of the pack before a fast transition.
She passed 12 rivals in the 2.5km run, finishing 24th from a field of 36 and top under 17 competitor in the country.
