FORMER Pershore High School pupil Tazmin Pugh will swim for England in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa from September 5.
Pugh, 15, will be one of the youngest athletes after impressing selectors with performances in Luxembourg and Italy when she took five gold and three silver medals.
She flies out to New Zealand for a week-long conditioning and training camp in late August before competing in the 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly and the 200m and 400m individual medley as well as relays.
Pugh said: “I am overjoyed at the honour of representing my country again and, after the disappointment of just missing out on European Games selection and discussions with my Ellesmere coach Alan Bircher, the Commonwealth Youth Games was our next goal.”
The teenager is looking for more help with sponsorship.
