PERSHORE crashed to a 95-run defeat at high-flying Oswestry in Birmingham and District League Division Two.
Although Pershore dismissed the prolific Warrick Fynn for 29, Oswestry skipper Robbie Clarke hit 84 to ensure his side posted a target of 215-7 in 55 overs.
Jon Hancock hit 49 for Pershore who couldn’t keep Fynn out of the action after tea.
The left-arm spinner took 5-27 and Mark Robinson snapped up 3-36 as Pershore crumbled to 120 all out.
Worcestershire League Division Two leaders Bredon kept up the pressure on the chasing pack.
However, Bredon were made to sweat in a thrilling four-run win at bottom side Harborne.
Tim McVicker (105) and Martyn Draper (52) helped Bredon to 269 all out.
Harborne kept up with the run-rate and were eventually dismissed for 265 with just three balls remaining.
Tom Walshingham (4-52) and Dominic Fenney (4-65) starred for Bredon.
Bredon are 12 points in front of second-placed Evesham who made the long march to Wormelow.
Evesham returned from Herefordshire with the spoils after reducing the villagers to 115 all out in a four-wicket success.
