STOURPORT extended the gap to second in Worcestershire League Second XI Division One to 42 points by beating Hagley thanks to Bevan Neill’s 4-19.

Worcester held on to second despite being beaten by a healthy margin at Bewdley and Harborne moved to third.

Phil Dixon was unbeaten on 82 not out to secure victory for Cookley against Colwall.

In Division Three, Mike Kirby-Davies scored 99no as table-toppers Kidderminster posted 269-7 which proved just too many for Alvechurch and Hopwood to chase.

Avoncroft remain second after Chris Pitt (68), Joe Ingle (68) and Mark Wood (6-31) helped them beat Kempsey by seven wickets.

Bromyard stay third as Michael Reece scored 92 to help them pass joint-bottom Himbleton’s challenging 233-6.

In Division Four, Claverley and West Malvern remain first and second as they beat Alveley and Malvern respectively.

Alexander Brown scored 104no for Pershore when they comfortably overcame past Division Five table-toppers Barnt Green.

Ombersley upset the applecart in Division Six as they beat leaders Birlingham by 18 runs to close the gap at the top.

Old Elizabethans leapfrogged Worcester into fourth after defeating Enville by a comfortable margin.

Barnards Green lie third in Division Seven as Anthony Eyles (111) helped them chase down Bromyard’s 298-4 which included 132no from Sam Muirhead and Jeremy Leighton’s 103.

Thirteen-year-old Sasha Bhangoo claimed career-best senior figures of 4-29 to help Worcester to a three-wicket victory against Old Elizabethans.

In Division Eight (South), Rushwick had Richard Tolley to thank as his 128 helped them to victory over lowly Worcester Nomads at Broadwas.
