SHIPSTON-on-Stour lost by eight wickets on a faster scoring rate as Wellesbourne returned to the top of the Cotswold Hills Cricket League Premier Division.
The hosts were bowled out for 123 after being asked to bat first and then their opponents reached a rain-reduced target of 104-2.
Jamie Maynard took a fine diving catch at first slip to dismiss Julian Morris for a duck.
Matt Corby (26) skied the ball to mid-wicket and Marcus Ireland (9) drove the ball straight to cover. Jack Murphy and Jamie Shurmer (7) put on 40 when the latter mistimed a big shot over mid-on.
Shipston slumped from 84-4 to 109-8 with Murphy reaching 55 before he was caught attempting to clear the boundary.
Corby (1-33) took an early wicket in reply but Maynard and Ross Milton produced a vital partnership of 43.
Dave Pyne (1-25) removed Maynard (23) as the rain came on 89-2 from 20 overs.
Play resumed with the visitors requiring just 13 to win and it took just six balls.
