PERSHORE picked up their first win of the season with a 59-19 home victory over Bloxwich in the RFU Midlands Junior Vase first round.
The Piddle Park team progressed by scoring eight tries to their visitors' three.
Ash White, Martin Hope, Calvin May and Dave Oliver dived over alongside debut scores for youngsters Callum Andrews and George Meadows.
The opening exchanges were a forward tussle with honours even at 14-14 after the first 20 minutes and the big Bloxwich pack showing their strength.
But the hosts nudged 28-14 in front by half-time to lead at the break for the third straight game.
After the interval Pershore moved the ball around quickly to tire the Bloxwich pack and stretched their advantage.
Pershore played to their strengths and gave a big defensive effort.
Oliver again had a good afternoon with 100 per cent success off the kicking tee while Andrews and Meadows impressed.
Pershore return to Midlands Four West (South) action on Saturday when they entertain Coventrians while the social XV host Malvern (both 3pm).
