HARVINGTON Golf Society members visited the Evesham club for the first time to compete for the Memorial Trophy.
On a fine autumn afternoon, Warwick Holland scrambled well to return 38 points and beat Steve Young on countback.
Young was flying on the front nine scoring 25 but could not maintain the momentum over the last nine holes.
Evesham club captain Ian Tyrrell used his local knowledge to return 37 and take third prize.
The summer league has been completed with Leigh Canham winning both the league and the eclectic competition with Rob Millward second in both categories.
Harvington members now move onto their own Ryder Cup with the annual challenge match against Pershore Golf Society.
