BATTLING Littleton twice led at Atherstone Town on Saturday before being condemned to a 10th straight league defeat this season.

The Ton Boys struck within two minutes thanks to Sam Beddoes blasting in off the far post but the joy was short lived as Alex Naughton broke through to level, sliding past keeper Josh Rogers.

Littleton regained the lead 14 minutes in when Ryan Reeves cleverly hooked over the head of Adders keeper James Beeson.

Atherstone stepped up the pressure, though, and only an outstanding save from Rogers prevented another equaliser.

In the second half Littleton defended with great heart but a defensive mistake let in Kartell O’Neill-Martin to restore parity.

And with 75 minutes on the clock a good move down the right ended with debutant Kieron Brehon converting from close range.

Littleton tried but could not breach a packed Atherstone defence.

The Ton Boys don't play on this weekend, returning to action at home to Uttoxeter Town in Midland Football League Division One on Saturday, October 20 (3pm).
