EVESHAM and Badsey women enjoyed a 3-1 home win over Stroud on a warm but windy day.

Lydia Webster went close before opening the scoring from Chelsea Southall's pass.

Stroud had been denied by Zoe Miller, Hannah Davies, Imogen Harper and Pip Webster but they levelled before half-time from a short corner.

Webster took the ball forward in the second period and provided determined player of the match Naomi Marsden with the chance to regain Evesham and Badsey's lead.

They managed to hold onto the advantage in the West Clubs Women's League Severn Division One clash before extending it through Webster.
