LITTLETON'S sorry start to the season continued with their 11th Midland League Division One defeat leaving them marooned at the foot of the table with no points.
But not for the first time Littleton felt hard done by as they had more of the play but were unable to turn pressure into goals in a 1-0 home loss to Uttoxeter Town.
They had an early opportunity to take the lead when a reckless cross-field pass for Uttoxeter found a Littleton player but instead of shooting first time into the empty net they hesitated and the opportunity was lost.
The visitors took the lead on 18 minutes with James Curley heading in a far-post corner.
The game was played at a fast pace and cried out for someone to put their foot on the ball.
Littleton created an opening for Ryan Reeves but he was thwarted by a good diving save.
Littleton huffed and puffed but never really looked like scoring as the visitors shut up shop.
Littleton are at home again on Saturday to high-fliers NKF Burbage (3pm).
