SWIFT-starting Evesham roared to a 31-12 victory at Old Coventrians courtesy of three tries within the opening quarter of an hour.

Dom Berry, Zak Shotton and Pete Carr all got over the line for the visitors to inspire a 19-7 lead at the interval.

Old Coventrians had much of the territory in the second-half but Evesham soaked up the pressure and scored through Liam Berry and a great solo effort from Will Bugg on the counter attack.

Andy Robinson converted three of Evesham's five tries to help lift them to eighth in Midlands Two West (South).

Next up is the visit of Old Laurentians on Saturday (2.15pm).

Evesham Colts overcame their Telford counterparts 19-10.

Euey Breach, Toby Turner, Kasey Grinnell and Kieran Downey were all involved in the opener which started in Evesham's own 22 with the latter close to scoring before James Carsberg applied the finish.

Grinnell went agonisingly close to preventing the response but Telford got over to make it 5-5 at the break.

After an even start to the second half, pressure from the Evesham pack eventually ended with Harry Powell touching down and Turner added the extras.

Telford responded with a try near the corner with five minutes to go but much to the relief of the hosts, they could not convert and Downey settled Evesham's nerves with a try on the final whistle.

Tom Hedworth was nominated as Evesham's man of the match.
