IT was a day of shocks in the Evesham Mechanical Services Knockout Cup quarter-finals.

Holders Bretforton Old Boys were dumped out by Offenham Rovers 3-1.

Robbie Sone gave Old Boys an interval lead before Rovers hit back with goals from Jake Hall, Ryan Harris and Kays Sibanda.

Their opponents in the last four will be Evesham WMC who won 2-1 at Broadway United with goals from James Bearcroft and Elliott Grady.

Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division Two leaders Alderton upset higher-ranked Mickleton Rangers 1-0 with a second-half Liam Pennell goal proving enough.

The win guarantees a team from outside the top division in the final.

Morgan Ballinger hit four goals for TDMS Evesham at Pebworth in a 4-3 victory to reach the last eight of the Mick Godwin Cup.

Tom Benfield (2) and Adam Willington scored for the hosts.

Also through are Dragons who upset higher-graded AFC Cheltenham 5-1 thanks to Rob Burford, Adam Hinchcliffe, Alex Lane, Luke Trotman and Darren Wilsden.

TDMS Harvington progressed in the Bromsgrove Charity Minor Cup, defeating Bromsgrove Academicals 4-2 with goals from Luke Woodfield (2), Carl Wallace and Matt Stephens.

Fladbury progressed with a narrow 3-2 win over Stour Excelsior Reserves.

Cameron Dickenson, Ryan Griffin and Max Ferriday scored for Fladbury while Andy Coyne and Tom Grace netted for Stour.

Cropthorne missed the chance to go top of Division Two after being held at home by Badsey Recreation in a goalless encounter.

Ashton 88 have gone top of Division Three following a 4-2 victory at Vale United when Lewis Carter (3) and Will Stevens scored with a double from Paul Law replying.

Bengeworth recorded only their second win of the season, defeating Fairfield Titans 4-2 with goals from Rhys Jackson, Will Warren, Josh Crowley and Ashley Adlington.

The league now takes a break over the festive period and will resume on January 6.
