EVESHAM’S Mitchell Leeming reached the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC) World Championship’s last 32 in Bristol.
The talented 15-year-old went out 4-1 at the Action Indoor Sports Arena to Dutch player Levy Frauenfelder who was later knocked out in the quarter-finals.
Leeming had progressed from board 10 to the knockout stages along with Antony Resell from Sweden.
Eventual winner Jurjen van der Velde and fellow qualifier Lennon Craddock headed to London’s Alexandra Palace for the WDS Associates Junior World Championship final.
The day before in the Scott Farms European Open at the same venue, Vale teenager Leeming made the last 16 before going out 4-1 to Ireland’s Sean Cummins.
The De Montfort School pupil attends a weekly academy at Riley’s, Worcester, and qualified as one of eight players through the JDC order of merit.
