PERSHORE Town hit the road for a crunch relegation battle at Wem Town on Saturday (3pm).
Les Jones’s men, reduced to 10 men in a 1-0 defeat at home to high-flying Wednesfield on Saturday, sit second bottom of West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.
They travel to Shropshire a point behind their fourth-bottom opponents, although Pershore have played two more games than Wem and three more than third-bottom Dudley Sports.
Wem had a miserable December and despite picking up a much-needed win at the start of January, they have suffered two defeats since being held to a 0-0 draw at rock-bottom Pegasus Juniors.
Pershore recently overcame Pegasus and Wellington to give their survival bid a shot in the arm but have since suffered single-goal defeats.
Basement boys Littleton look to boost a meagre tally of six points when they travel to out-of-form Hinckley AFC in Midland Football League Division One on Saturday (3pm).
