THERE were several medal winners from the host club in Wyre Forest Company of Archers indoor tournament at the Wyre Forest Leisure Centre.

Shooting a Portsmouth round consisting of five dozen arrows at a distance of 20 yards, top scorer for Wyre Forest with 570 to win the silver medal was Ian Cartright in the Gents Compound class.

Scott Potter took the bronze medal with a score of 568 while David Brazier, still recovering from injury, placed fourth with 564 points.

There were gold medals for Lindsey Brazier who scored 566 in the Ladies Compound and Angela Burbridge with 380 in the Ladies Barebow.

Other performances included Martin Burbridge eighth in the Gents Recurve with a score of 549 and Rebel Finn in fourth with 306 in the Gents Longbow.

Among the ladies' events, Penny Neaverson scored 237 for second in the Longbow, Karen McKay was sixth in the Recurve with 527 and in the Junior Recurve categories Jasmine Simpson scored 458 for fourth in the U18 while Hannah Gill in her first competition scored 312 for fifth place in the U16.
