EVESHAM juniors won 13 gold medals at the South of England Indoor Rowing Championships.

Thirteen girls and 11 boys headed to Abingdon to also claim 14 silvers and three bronzes, finishing third out of 26 clubs and schools.

Taking home individual golds were Finn Warren, Alex Repton, Sam McClenahan, Sacha Wilson and Emily Jones.

Relay winners were junior 17 girls Georgie Banton, Ella Shalom, Maddy Cross and Jones together with junior 16 girls Jones, Charlie Akerman, Martha Bradley and Banton.

The latter crew beat the timed 3,000-metre event record, previously also held by Evesham, by 25 seconds.

Banton and Duncan Repton took silver medals in their individual events.

Also second in the relays were the junior 13 boys Warren, Alex Repton, Euan Woodfin and Tyler Huddleston, junior 16 mixed crew Tom Hill, Jack Harris, Ben Ferris and Olivia Evans and junior 17 boys Duncan Repton, McClenahan, Toby Haycock and Matt Oliver.

Akerman, Shalom and Huddleston added bronzes while Phoebe Warren and Bradley came fourth in their individual events.

Evesham are looking for new juniors and run learn to row courses throughout the year.
