WORCESTER Rugby Club's girls were crowned regional champions yet again.

The under 18s now move on to a triangular national semi-final on April 7 in Worcester.

They enjoyed success at Chester in the North of England regional final against West Park St Helens.

The 20-10 win made it five regional cups at under 15s or 18s level in as many years.

But Worcester only closed out a tight match with a try in the last five minutes.

They were without England under 18s fly-half Jessica Wiesheu who played for her nation in a comfortable win over Scotland in Preston.

West Park and Worcester traded penalties before Charlie Manns chased down her own kick to score the first try which she converted.

But the city side only led 13-10 at half-time with a late penalty after West Park's reply of a try following a ruck near the posts.

Worcester spent 90 per cent of the first 25 minutes of the second half defending in their own 22.

But West Park could not score and Worcester hit back with a series of attacking lineouts and scrums which eventually produced the final try.
