A TALENTED young Cotswolds footballer is set to sign an under nines academy contract with Birmingham City.
Eight-year-old Hayden Renardson, who goes to school in Chipping Campden, was scouted by the Blues after turning six and has trained with their pre-academy ever since.
Renardson, of Lower Quinton, started receiving coaching from Go4Goals Midlands Limited through his nursery Freshfields at 22 months old.
In between playing and training for City, he played football for Norton Lindsey and Hampton with plenty of tournament success and rugby for Shipston-on-Stour.
His mother Josela said: “He’s generally a sporty boy and has received many trophies including player of the season and young player of the year.
“He is a great example of local talent and someone that works extremely hard.
“I know I’m his mum but I’ve never known a kid so incredibly determined.”
