TEAMMTR Ducati Oxford and Michael Tustin are gearing up their third campaign in the fiercely-contested Ducati TriOptions Cup for 2019.

The season-opener, running alongside the British Superbike Championship, is at Silverstone on Saturday.

Contested over eight meetings with two races per weekend event, Evesham's Tustin looks to start strongly after a promising end to 2018.

Running TeamMTR's Ducati Panigale 959 for a third consecutive year, limited pre-season testing has hindered their bike development.

But Tustin is confident it will come good for the first meeting at a track he has enjoyed success at in recent times.

He said: "I'm looking forward to getting this season under way and at a local circuit we've had good results at I couldn't think of a better way to start our 2019 campaign.

"Although we have had nothing but hassle at our pre-season testing, both myself and the team are excited to get stuck in and try to continue our top-10 points scoring finishes we ended up with at the end of last season.

"I would like to thank all our local and regional sponsors for continuing their support for the 2019 season."
