WORCESTER City suffered a third pre-season defeat on the trot as Rushall Olympic ran out 4-1 winners at the Victoria Ground.
The visitors opened the scoring inside the first two minutes when Levi Rowley was fouled inside the area before picking himself up and converting the penalty.
Jordan Harrison was twice denied an equaliser before Rushall doubled their lead on 35 minutes when Danny Waldron curled the ball into the top corner.
City then fell 3-0 down just before the break after conceding another penalty. Ex-Worcester winger Chekaine Steele was upended before confidently tucking the ball away from the spot.
The hosts made a double substitution at half-time in a bid to turn the tide and they threatened to score at the start of the second half.
Harrison and Adam Osbourne both had efforts blocked before Liam Lockett’s free-kick was saved.
But Rushall landed another blow on the hour mark when Tyler Lyttle sped down the right wing before whipping in a superb cross for Shaquille Leachman-Whittingham who blasted home at the far post.
Ashley Vincent’s side continued to pug away with Demetri Brown and Josh Willis going close before being awarded a penalty. Harrison made no mistake from the spot.
City visit Cradley Town on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
