TEN-man Worcester City were hammered 4-0 by hosts Long Eaton United in the Midland League Premier Division tonight.

Ashley Vincent's side suffered their second defeat of the season with three second-half goals burying the Victoria Ground tenants.

Forward Jak Jeys was sent off at half-time at Grange Park for two quick yellow cards.

CITY SIGN NEW DEFENDER

Jeys hit the post for City on just four minutes and he tested keeper Jason White soon after with strike partner Demetri Brown also going close.

Brown fired well over before being replaced by Jordan Harrison in the 31st minute.

Long Eaton began to threaten with keeper Ted Cann saving twice before City paid for defensive errors with the 37th-minute opener through David Kolodynski.

Jeys was booked after an altercation late in the first period and got shown a second yellow card at half-time.

Ten-man City conceded a second on 61 minutes to former Rugby Town hot-shot Kolodynski after Cann parried the initial effort following a through-ball.

Kolodynski completed his hat-trick by heading in a cross from James Shaw on 72 minutes and City's defence fell apart to ship a fourth through Romaine Graham just four minutes later.

Worcester went down to 12th in the table with the defeat and free-scoring Derbyshire outfit Long Eaton moved up to sixth.

After conceding four City have a defensive reinforcement waiting in the wings though following the signing of centre-half Joe Hawkins from lower-ranked Cradley Town before the game.

Hawkins could be set for his debut in Saturday's FA Cup preliminary round tie at league leaders Heather St John's (12.30pm).

City: Cann, English, Hall (Ruddock 67), Jones, Sinclair, Caines, Smith, Withington (Lockett 60), Brown (Harrison 31), Jeys, Osbourne. Subs not used: Birch, Willis.

Meanwhile, seventh-placed Stourport Swifts drew 1-1 at Coventry Sphinx tonight.

Cameron Peters quickly levelled on 22 minutes after Adam Bilic fired Sphinx ahead.
