WORCESTERSHIRE batsman Jack Haynes has been picked for the England under 19s squad for the 50-over Tri-Series.

The nation will face West Indies and Sri Lanka under 19s in the Caribbean in November and December.

Academy product Haynes will look to stake his claim for a spot with the Young Lions in the ICC Under 19 World Cup in South Africa in January and February next year.

The 18-year-old made his senior breakthrough for the County during the end of the 2019 season.

His debut came in the tour game against Australia and he appeared in four County Championship Division Two matches with Northamptonshire, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire and Sussex.

Haynes made his England under 19s debut alongside County paceman Adam Finch last summer against South Africa and also appeared in this summer’s Tri-Series against Bangladesh and India.
