KEMPSEY Colts reached the Worcestershire FA Sunday Under 18s Cup final with a convincing 5-3 victory at Rock Sports Youth, writes Elliot Yates.

The visitors scored the opener when Will Holland pounced onto a parried clearance after five minutes.

But Sports equalised in the semi-final with an angled header into the top of the net.

Three minutes later Euan Lilly’s shot rebounded to Holland for his second Kempsey goal.

The third came through Lilly converting a through-ball from Joe Westrip.

Elliot Cresswell added a fourth goal after rounding the keeper and tapping into an empty net.

Kempsey kept up the pressure after the interval with Holland coming close to his hat-trick.

However, Rock struck first with a screamer into the top left-hand corner.

As the second half progressed Kempsey pulled further ahead.

Holland capped a man-of-the-match performance with his hat-trick, ghosting past the defender and putting the ball home from 12 yards.

With the tie almost over a late penalty for Sports made the final scoreline 5-3.

Mercian Fortis Junior League leaders Kempsey will play either Bromsgrove Sporting Colts Shamrocks or Meadow Park Youth, who meet on Sunday, in the final.
