NUNNERY Wood High progressed into the Worcestershire Schools County Cup boys' under 12s football semi-finals.

They continued their good run this season with a 6-0 home win over Walkwood Middle from Redditch in the last eight thanks to an eye-catching team display.

The Worcester school's head of physical education Tom Kempster said: “A full squad effort was led by captain Zac Watkins and a hat-trick from Ashton Doyle."

The semi-final against Droitwich's Witton Middle will take place after the half-term break.

Nunnery Wood's starting XI also included Cody Bolton, Jaiden Gwynne, Henry Hilditch, Alex Vickers, Harry Knight, Harley Irish and Mikey Hadden.

Toby Thorp, Louis Hudson, Hilmi Tekagac, Nashon Munn-Powell and Fin Goodman were substitutes.
