Worcester Warriors' director of rugby Steve Diamond has confirmed that he has completed his recruitment for next season.

Diamond was speaking ahead of the final game of the Gallagher Premiership season on Saturday, when Warriors host Bath in their 'loser finishes bottom of the table' clash.

The former Sale boss has been trying to find a second-row for a while now to finalise his signings for next season and seems to have finally found his man.

"He is a 26, 27 year old Kiwi second-row and all that is left is for him to sign the contract," he said.

"That news will be released this week at some point before the Bath game, I won't confirm it just yet.

"I have never actually been successful in signing all of my targets before, so this is the first time that has happened.

"I have done it."

There were suggestions that Fijian superstar Leone Nakarawa was being looked at but Diamond squashed that one.

"Firstly, he is a wonderful player. Secondly, I am not signing him," he added.

"He was not in my remit. When I came here I knew I wanted to sign players at the right age with the right amount of experience.

"Hardcases, that's what I want, I have said that before. My job here at Worcester is to turn this team around quickly, in the next 12 months not three years."
