THERE were wild celebrations from the Evesham United players as Kyle Belmonte's sensational lob proved to be the match-winner as The Robins moved back into the play-off places with one game to go.

Belmonte spotted Willand's George Burton off his line with 18 minutes left in the game and lobbed him from his own-half to give Evesham a crucial 1-0 victory.

The three points put The Robins into the top five with one game left to play, knowing three more points will guarantee them a Southern League Division One South play-off spot.

It will be a tough ask, however, as Mike Ford's men welcome league champions AFC Totton to the Spiers & Hartwell Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

What needs to happen for Evesham to reach the play-offs?

The three teams below Evesham (57 points) - Bashley (55 points), Tavistock (55 points) and Frome (54 points) are all in action at the same time on Saturday.

Bashley go to Paulton Rovers whilst Tavistock and Frome play one another, all hoping Evesham do not beat Totton.

A point will only be enough for Evesham if Bashley draw or lose, as Bashley's goal difference is 11 goals better. Tavistock can only overtake Evesham if they win and The Robins lose, unless Tavi beat frome by a big margin.

But all of that will be irrelevant if Evesham can get the job done on Saturday and after a run of three wins in a row, they certainly enter the game in good form.
