SUBSTITUTE Alfie Bloomer scored twice as Pershore Town progressed to the second-round of the Wiseman Lighting Floodlit Cup after a 4-2 victory over Longlevens.

Petar Tonchev put the hosts ahead after half-an-hour with a composed finish after Jamie Clarke's through ball, before Sam Clark doubled the lead with a curling finish after a strong run from midfield just before half-time.

Longlevens capitalised on a mistake in defence from the hosts to pull one back through Nathan Payne after the break.

But Pershore responded immediately and they re-established the two-goal cushion when Tonchev found Bloomer in behind the Longlevens defence and the replacement fired home for his first Pershore goal.

The away side were not going to lie down and a third goal in five minutes saw Shiyak Sutherland drift in off his wing and go past a few defenders before finishing past Eddie Cox to make it 3-2.

The cup tie was finally put to bed late on when Blmmoer dispatched a strike into the top corner from Dan Baldwin's cross to the edge of the box.
