Evesham could not have wished for a better start, taking the lead inside the opening minute. Steele was put clear and coolly slotted between the legs of keeper George Burton.
The hosts doubled their lead nine minutes later when Aaron Heap stole possession and raced into the box, before unselfishly squaring for Wright to slot in.
Louis Jagger Cane’s strike was beaten away by Robins keeper Alex Harris in a rare moment of promise for Tiverton.
But Evesham pulled further clear after 38 minutes, Will Owens’ corner evading everyone before nestling inside the back post.
Tiverton's best chance of the half fell to Asa Hall but the midfielder planted his header wide from eight yards.
Any prospect of a comeback from the visitors was ended seven minutes after the break. Amer Awadh drilled in a cross from the right which Steele turned in from close range.
United’s Kai Churchley then came off the bench to rifle in a stunning solo effort, completing another miserable away day for Tiverton.
