Evesham United 0, Halesowen Town 0.

FAZEL Koriya's first-half penalty miss, his second in two games, proved costly for Evesham United who were held to a Zamaretto League Premier Division stalemate by unbeaten Halesowen Town.

The spot-kick was awarded to the Robins after just seven minutes when Koriya was sent tumbling in the box by Dallas Moore.

However, Koriya's poorly struck penalty was easily pushed aside by Halesowen goalkeeper Dean Coleman.

Sam Mensah fired a half-chance wide for Evesham and visiting striker David Stone landed a cross-shot onto the roof of keeper Nathan Vaughan's net as the half drew a blank.

But it was Evesham who went on to dominate after the break without turning their superiority into goals. Coleman saved well from Anthony Watson and Mensah, then Neil Barnfield struck the Halesowen woodwork with Coleman beaten.

Conor Gater cleared Danny Hodnett's header off the line and soon after, Coleman was at his best saving a one-on-one with Evesham frontman Justin Nisbett.

Halesowen replied with Vaughan saving at his near post from Yeltz's substitute Nathan Smith.

Evesham pressed in the final stages for a winner but the visiting back-four held firm to collect their third straight goalless draw.
