THREE talented students form Bowbrook House School in Peopleton have showered themselves in glory at the ISA National Swimming Championships.

Liam Tuston won three bronze medals in the 100-metre individual breastroke and the medley and freestyle relays.

Harry Sykes achieved gold in the 50m individual breastroke, bronze in the 50m individual freestyle and silver and bronze in the freestyle and medley relays respectively.

Tazmin Pugh managed to achieve an unprecedented three gold medals and one silver in the 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and the individual medley and freestyle relays.

She also managed to smash two national records in the process at the event. Head of PE Richard Mills said: “We are so proud of these three students.

“They have worked so hard and deserved to excel.

“They have represented our school and the Midlands ISA team in impressive fashion and we are excited about what they may have to offer in the future.”

Sykes and Pugh, who both compete for Pershore Swimming club, also received Midlands most outstanding swimmer awards in the boy and girl categories.
