AYSA Corrick has left Evesham United because he no longer has the use of a car.
The striker, signed from Highworth Town in December, made one start and a handful of substitute appearances without scoring for the Robins.
Manager Paul Collicutt revealed Corrick’s no show for a recent midweek fixture had set alarm bells ringing with an approach from league rivals Larkhall Athletic following soon after.
“The problem was he struggled with transport,” said Collicutt.
“When he came here he had a car but now he doesn’t and that change in circumstances has made it difficult for him to commit.
“The other Tuesday he finished work too late to get to a game and I was left genuinely concerned for his welfare because he didn’t call me until the next day.
“We knew the travelling could be difficult but it was all very frustrating and we have parted company. Larkhall is closer to Bristol for him so he has gone there.”
Corrick debuted for Larkhall in last night’s 1-0 Southern League Cup victory at Frome Town.
Paul Fahy and Joe Turley should be fit enough for starts if called upon at home to Bristol Manor Farm on Saturday (3pm).
Lewis Binns misses out with hitman Lewis Powell, who underwent an MRI scan on a troublesome groin this week, a doubt leaving Collicutt considering some incoming transfers.
"We may have to bring in one or two. Waiting for that call from Lewis is the big thing for me," said Collicutt.
