LeBron James starred again as the Cleveland Cavaliers levelled up their Eastern Conference finals series against the Boston Celtics with a 111-102 victory in game four.
James poured in 44 points – scoring at least 40 points in a post-season game for the 25th time in his career – to help the Cavs make it 2-2 in the best-of-seven series, having lost the opening two matches.
Kyle Korver added 14 points for the victors while Tristan Thompson and George Hill contributed 13 points apiece.
Kevin Love – with nine points and 11 rebounds – also provided good support for James, with the pair combining impressively in the first quarter for James to score off a full-court pass from his team-mate.
The Celtics, who won both matches at home, struggled to find their previous form , trailing by 18 points heading towards half-time and missing three dunks.
Boston, for whom Jaylen Brown top scored with 25 points, rallied in the fourth quarter to narrow the Cavs’ lead to 100-93, but the hosts – aided by another three-pointer from James – kept their opponents at bay to level the series.
The teams will now head back to Boston for game five.
