WORCESTER Wolves boss Ty Shaw has left the British Basketball League club with Tony Garbelotto continuing as interim coach.
The club say Shaw leaves his role as University of Worcester director of basketball and Wolves head coach with immediate effect to focus upon family commitments.
A statement continued: "We are grateful for Ty's contribution and commitment since joining the university and Wolves in August 2018 and wish him well in the future.
"Tony will continue as interim coach for the remainder of the season."
Shaw, 40, has been away from the club and university since being taken ill during a match at Sheffield Sharks in early January.
The American, a former player with Worcester, was eventually replaced at Wolves by former Great Britain boss Garbelotto on a temporary basis in late January.
Garbelotto then ended the bottom club's long losing streak last month with back-to-back victories over Surrey Scorchers and Plymouth Raiders.
They pushed high-flying Leicester Riders last week only to lose 85-80 at the University of Worcester Arena.
Wolves tackle fifth-placed Sheffield Sharks at the arena tonight (7.30pm).
