TIGHTHEAD prop Nick Schonert has not joined up with England’s squad for their training camp in Bristol due to injury.
Director of rugby Alan Solomons said Schonert suffered a dead leg in Worcester Warriors’ 44-37 victory at Leicester Tigers on Sunday.
The uncapped front rower was forced off on 54 minutes at Welford Road and will now miss the chance to train with Eddie Jones’ national side who are building up to November’s autumn internationals.
Warriors centre Ben Te’o who has yet to make an appearance this season due to surgery on a quadriceps tear in the summer was also selected in Jones’ 36-man squad.
Solomons said: “Nick had a dead leg. He said it was worrying him so we just took him off.”
Centre Manu Tuilagi and scrum-half Ben Youngs also picked up knocks in Tigers’ defeat to Warriors, ruling them out of the camp which runs until tomorrow.
Leicester full-back Jordan Olowofela has been called up to the squad as a replacement for Tuilagi.
