WORCESTER Warriors face “another three weeks or so” without speedster Perry Humphreys due to a “problematic” injury.
Humphreys suffered a “high ankle sprain” in Worcester’s Gallagher Premiership win over Bath at the beginning of last month.
Following a scan Warriors stated that the results had shown “nothing significant” and expected Humphreys to be back within “a few weeks”.
But the 24-year-old wing is now due to miss the Sixways side’s next three league fixtures against Harlequins, Leicester Tigers and Newcastle Falcons.
Director of rugby Alan Solomons said: “I think he is still another two or three weeks off due to the nature of that injury. That’s what my thinking is at the moment.
“He has got a high ankle sprain and that is always problematic.
“He has been doing his rehab and has done a run but then you have got to judge the reaction to that and that’s why I say he is probably another three weeks or so from playing.”
