CAVALIERS

6 Van Breda – landed one penalty and his big boot proved useful in torrid conditions but was less effective with ball in hand as Wasps shut up shop.

5 Hearle – was not a day for wingers as he struggled to make an impact and Sirker left him trailing in his wake following a long-busting run.

6 Olivier – got on the end of Butler’s grubber kick to slide over in the corner and put in some big tackles before being replaced by Veebel who also put himself about late on.

7 Butler (c) – made the odd mistake but was a classy operator in Warriors’ midfield with tidy passes and set up Olivier with a well-weighted kick.

6 Humphreys – back in the side after a long spell out through injury the wing quickly made an impact with a fine offload to launch an attack but was feeding off scraps.

6 Simpson – after impressing in last week’s win the fly-half had to contend with torrential rain but stood up to the challenge as he kicked well out of hand.

7 Arr – had to deal with a back-peddling forward pack but did well as he caught his opposite number Porter off-guard when pouncing on a loose ball and charged down a kick in the opening minute.

5 Cosgrove – a tough night for the prop who came up against England tighthead Brookes and ex-Warriors powerhouse Alo as the loosehead was often penalised at the scrum.

7 Miller – while the set-piece did not go well the hooker demonstrated his aerobic capacity with a tireless shift as he saw plenty of the ball in attack and defended robustly.

Mudariki – lasted just four minutes before being forced off following a blow to the head and did not return to the field as Morris took his place.

5 Monks – due to the club’s shortage at lock the blindside flanker found himself in the second row and had a tough evening as Wasps overpowered their opponents.

6 Scott – called a lineout that malfunctioned at times but got stuck in, putting in some hefty hits and carried well at a sodden Sixways.

5 Cox – did not get off to the best of starts as he was stripped of the ball in an opening lineout and things failed to improve as he struggled to give his side front-foot ball.

5 Kirwan – a mixed bag from the flanker who made an early break but his pass went to ground and mistakes continued to creep into his game.

7 DODD – an industrious performance from the number eight who claimed a lineout steal, showed some nice hands in attack and was an effective ball-carrier. My man of the match.
