IRATE Pat Lam felt Worcester had got away with a “cheap shot” on Bristol star turn Semi Radradra and that “a few other things” escaped match officials.

Lam referred to an incident in the build up to a disallowed second-half try for the Bears in his side’s 36-13 success at Sixways.

Radradra had been unplayable for much of the night and was at the heart of a move that saw Ben Earl cross the whitewash.

It took an age for it to be chalked off but Lam was more concerned with what had happened to his juggernaut.

“I was gutted when that try was disallowed in the corner,” said Lam.

“I cannot understand all the interrogation, going through every part of the try yet Semi Radradra gets a big forearm to his face and they don't even look at it.

"I am not talking about Wayne (Barnes, referee), I am talking about the TMO (Geoff Warren). There were a few other things that were not great, not picked up.

"It is all very well looking at no tries but you have to look at the safety of some of the players. That was frustrating.

“Semi doesn’t go down, he’s a tough man and when I saw what happened I was amazed the TMO didn’t pick it up, we saw it clearly on the footage.

“Wayne didn’t get the close-up shot so he had to see the wide one. The TMO obviously saw it so that’s disappointing, he is a big player for us.

“Those types of cheap shots, with HIA (head injury assessments), he (could have been) out of the game on Tuesday so everyone gets affected by it and it shouldn’t be going on in our game.

“He got up but it is not great.”

Meanwhile, Lam argued Andrew Kitchener’s red card with just 40 seconds left on the clock and the game well and truly over had been justified.

Kitchener got embroiled in a skirmish that followed Siale Piutau’s meaty hit on Ted Hill. The Tonga international was sent to the sin bin.

“Siale put in a great hit and you have to take your medicine when you get hit,” said Lam.

“Obviously Ted didn’t like it and he (Piutau) got punched. The decision was right.

“Everyone’s emotional. We take our medicine when they hit us hard and the guys on the far side are all cheering, you just have to get up, respond to it (and think) I’ll get you next time.”

Warriors director of rugby Alan Solomons said he had been on his way down to his post-match briefing at the time.

"The game had almost finished so I walked down the stairs and then I saw there had been a whole hoo-ha,” he said.

"I will have to look at the incident, I can't comment at this point."
