REPORTS suggest that Sale Sharks have signed Worcester Warriors' prop Nick Schonert on a three year deal.

Schonert, 29, has been with Worcester since 2014 and is still under contract at Sixways but The Rugby Paper suggest Sale have paid a fee for the tighthead prop to be released early this summer.

Sharks' director of rugby Alex Sanderson has had the former South African under 20 international at the top of his list to replace the outgoing WillGriff John, who is leaving for the Scarlets at the end of the season.

Only two weeks ago it was reported that the deal for Schonert to leave the club for Sale had fallen through but now it appears everything has been agreed and only official confirmation is left.

The Rugby Paper have also reported that Warriors are poised to sign former Welsh international fly-half Owen Williams for next season as they look to fill the void left by Duncan Weir, who is moving back to Glasgow Warriors in the summer.

With only Billy Searle and 18-year-old Fin Smith as out-and-out 10s, Worcester have been looking for a more experienced head to join their ranks and it appears the ex-Gloucester and Leicester Tigers man will be added to the growing Welsh contingent at Warriors.

And that's not all.

It also appears Worcester are keen on bringing Wasps' Tongan number eight Sione Vailanu to the club.

With it looking increasingly likely that Cornell du Preez is off to France at the end of the season, Jonathan Thomas will be wanting to fill that place with another strong ball carrier.

Plenty to keep your eyes on then.
