A TRIO from Worcester law firm Thursfields is aiming to complete the 115 mile fourth stage of the Tour of Britain without moving an inch.
As some of the world's top cyclists gather at The Hive in Worcester next Wednesday ready to set off for Bristol, the lawyers will be climbing on to three turbo trainers at their office nearby. Director and head of the team, Mark Pittaway, personal injury and medical negligence solicitor, Bernie Mackie, and property litigation solicitor, Stefania Fulford, will between them then race to see if they can beat the professionals to Bristol. At 10.45am the team will begin cycling on the turbo trainers outside the Thursfields office on The Tything in the hope of covering the distance before the race leader arrives at the finish line.
"We are organising the event to support Acorns Children’s Hospice," said Miss Fulford. "We will be offering refreshments on the day in the style of a running buffet in a further effort to raise funds and invite people to attend to support us from 10.30am until we finish, which should hopefully be at about 2pm or thereabouts."
