THE Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra will play at Pershore Abbey on Saturday with pianist Janine Smith. The programme includes Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No 1 in E Minor. ONE of the all-time great guitarists will be at Worcester’s Huntingdon Hall on Saturday for a performance in aid of the charity Scope. Mick Taylor is famed for his days with the Rolling Stones and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, with whom he recorded the classic albums Bare Wires and Blues from Laurel Canyon. JIVE and rock’n’roll classes for beginners start at Wulstan Hall, Priest Lane, Pershore, tomorrow. The classes will look at single-time jive, rock’n’roll style and triple-time jive.
