SPECIALIST electronics company IA Technology Ltd, which operates in some of the world's most challenging environments, is linking with an American company to provide improved defence capabilities.

The firm based in Burcott Road, Hereford, has been engaged in discussions with Sabre Systems Inc. of Washington DC, aimed at forming a strategic partnership fto create innovative technology solutions to defence and federal government customers in global markets.

Senior leaders from both organisations met in Sabre’s Alexandria office in Washington to discuss the possibilities of the partnership and working together to equip allied forces with the best technology and products available.

“It was refreshing to meet a company such as IA Technology that has great entrepreneurial spirit and passion for their products. Sabre brings a lot of ideas, opportunities and rigor, and together I know we can enjoy tremendous success,” said Phil Jaurigue, president and chief executive of Sabre.

IA Technology chairman Duncan Williams added: "We are delighted to develop a strategic partnership with Sabre where we will work together to exploit IA Technology's innovative solutions in electronics and systems to global markets. Sabre and IA Technology complement each other in many areas, and utilising Sabre as a channel to market in the U.S. will open many doors within the defence, aerospace and commercial arenas.”
