PERSHORE’S former medical centre, which has stood empty for about six years, has been demolished to make way for new homes.
The building in Priest Lane was knocked down by developers on Monday to clear the site for 13 properties. The homes, being built by Rooftop Housing Group, will all be affordable.
The town council had opposed the plans as there will only be eight parking spaces for the 13 homes, but Wychavon District Council unanimously approved the proposals saying the plans were the best that could be achieved.
