Kidderminster toddler loses brave fight
A TODDLER who was fighting leukaemia has lost his brave battle against the illness.
Two-year-old Charlie Harris-Beard died at Birmingham Children’s Hospital at 2.04pm today.
The parents of Charlie Harris-Beard announced on twitter: “Heaven gained another angel today as our little SOLDIER CHARLES JOSEPH HARRIS-BEARD peacefully passed away.”
He was first diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia on Easter Sunday, 2011 but returned home from hospital in January, 2012, following a successful bone marrow transplant using an umbilical cord.
