STORIES of giant birds and huge whales were enjoyed by children at Bidford Primary School when they were visited by an international photographer.
Pupils heard all about Brian Anderson’s trip to Antarctica when he gave a talk at the school earlier this month. “They had been studying the Antarctic as a school project,” said Mr Anderson, whose illustrated talk included images of whales, seals, penguins and albatrosses. The children had been on my website and had lots of great questions.
One asked if I was a friend of Captain Scott, which was quite funny. “They were very excited to meet somebody who had actually been there and listened to the stories about my time there. They particularly enjoyed the teachers putting on the outfits we wore.”
