CHILDREN at a Worcestershire school are busy filling their pencil cases to send out to an African school.

Pupils at Inkberrow First School, with the help of their families, have been stuffing the colourful cases with pens and pencils for the children at the Goodnews School in Ndola, Zambia.

The two schools have been partners, sharing their news and stories for a decade.

To celebrate the milestone anniversary, year one teacher Joan Humphrys, who first visited the school in 2004, will personally deliver the pencil cases in March, along with pieces of work and personal messages, as part of an exchange group of teachers and sixth-formers from Pershore High School.

The student exchange began in 2008 and since then pupils from Pershore High School have travelled to Ndola and brought their Zambian friends back to the area.
