WE have immense admiration for Angela Prosser and we hope those few words help to give her comfort.

Mrs Prosser’s life turned upside down on December 18 when her husband Keith was taken away from her by a careless driver who did not check properly and ran him over at a road junction.

It was a driving mistake with appalling consequences.

The driver appeared at Worcester Crown Court last week and came face to face with Mrs Prosser and the rest of the family left to grieve.

They had every right to be angry and bitter. In their own words, there was a void in their lives and their hearts.

Instead Mrs Prosser sent the man who had accidentally killed her husband a message – ‘you have suffered enough. We understand that if you could turn back the clock, you would’.

The driver who killed her husband walked into court looking a man broken by the enormity of the consequences of his careless mistake in Station Road, Pershore, 10 months ago.

His victim’s wife gave him forgiveness and the encouragement to move on with his own life, as she was determined to do with hers.

We have nothing but admiration for such thoughtfulness, and selflessness, and ability to think of others while living through some of your darkest days.
