AN appeal from developers seeking to build homes on land at Allesborough Farm, Allesborough Hill in Pershore has been dismissed.
Redrow Homes had appealed the decision by Wychavon District Council’s planning committee to reject the second stage of their plans for the housing estate on the outskirts of Pershore.
The plans for 45 homes were only given approval during an appeal but the developer has fallen at the second hurdle.
The inspector, Jessica Graham, said in her conclusion it was important the costs of delivering the development did not outweigh the benefits.
She added: “In this case, I consider that the there are no material considerations sufficient to outweigh the conflict with Development Plan policies. I consider that the adverse impacts of the proposed development would significantly and demonstrably outweigh the benefits.”
